Money

To be short of money when there's work to get done is like not having enough inches to build a house

Money is
  • A Tool. Money doesn't actually do anything. It is a tool used by communities to make exchanges within them easier.
  • An Information System. Money is the information system that we use to deploy human effort. Is it where it is needed? Clearly not.
  • An Agreement. Money is an agreement, between a community, to use something as a means of exchange. This agreement can be freely chosen or coerced, implicit or explicit.

Step One: That there be open, regular and public acknowledgement by state, economists and academia that the present banking system is an unjust monopoly that creates 97% of the money supply as interest-bearing debt.

--

Thomas Greco's MONEY - Understanding and Creating Alternatives to Legal Tender is an excellent introduction to the issues around monetary reform. This book is so clearly written that it almost makes this, most complicated of subjects, appear simple. I think many seasoned monetary reformers could benefit from reading this book, but if your just interested as a beginner its also excellent. All the important questions are answered: What is wrong with our current money systems? What are the systems would we better? How can we go about getting there. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone interested in how money really works.

Enjoy, TomSalfield

Comment:

Hear, hear! The current state of awareness of the above three authorities amounts to a conspiracy of silence. What can be do about this? Hint: these public authorities have a duty of care and the duty of affirmative investigation in law, regarding the welfare of the people. They have the duty to be familiar with the material below and related issues.
